I personally am hoping to see Bale get in the best Batman shape of his life in the 3rd Bat film.
We have not seen him in great tip top ideal Batman shape in the Bat films so far and I think for this 3rd film he should bulk up a bit and tone it up and look in ideal kick a$$ Batman shape.
In BB he tried to get there but it was a strain on his body since he had to gorge himself and gain so much weight in a short period of time after The Machinist. He looked good, but he wasn't in ideal Batman shape IMO.
In TDK, it seemed like he toned it down a bit after losing weight for Rescue Dawn and it did not probably work as hard to get in back in ideal shape for TDK. It certainly looked a bit thinner in TDK, than he did in BB thats for sure.
Since this 3rd Bat film may potentially be Nolan and Bales last Bat film.....I want to see Bale go out on top and be in the best Batman shape he can be in. It would be good to see at least one workout scene(s) in the new updated Cave in the 3rd film as well, like we have seen in the panels of the Bat comic and graphic novels.
I would like to see Bale in Equilibrium type of shape... but better... for the 3rd and potentially last Bat film with Nolan and Bale.
If Bale can get in unhealthy rail thin for roles like the Machinest, Rescue Dawn and The Fighter, then he should be able to get in great tip top ideal Batman shape for 3rd Bat film IMO.

No...actually he wasn't in GREAT shape.....at least not in TDK.
He was in good shape in BB.....not in great ideal Batman shape though.
If he would have had more time to prep in between the Machinest and BB, then he would have got there though.
Bale even admitted he wasn't in as great of shape as he would have liked to be for BB, he was getting there though.
If I was only half as ripped as Bale in the Batman movies I'd be a happy man. It's amazing that a guy that ridiculously ripped can be considered "not in the best shape".
