The Last of the Mohicans is the one I'd go with. Yes, the love story is clichéd but everything else is wonderfully done, the acting, especially from Wes Studi as Magua, is great, the soundtrack is world-famous, the cinematograpy is awe-inspiring and I generally prefer period pieces over heist or cops and robbers films any day. It's the only one of his films that I've gone out of my way to watch at the local independent cinema even after I had bought the DVD because this is a film one HAS to see on the big screen, whereas with films like Heat, Public Enemies, etc. I never felt the need to rewatch them once I'd seen them.

I'm going with Heat, but The Insider is not far behind. I had no idea that was Russell Crowe when it first came out. I guess I also really like what Mann gets out of Pacino. It's a shame they haven't done more work together.
There's a few films on that voting list I haven't seen in a long, long time.

My favorites are The Last of the Mohicans, Heat and Miami Vice.
Should I watched Blackhat and The Keep? I know I need to watch Thief.
Blackhat is great. Watch the Directors Cut if you can.
