I'm intrigued!
Interesting.
This had an oppressive tone that I thought worked to its detriment. It's a long movie that feels even longer because of all the doom and gloom (and some really strange editorial choices). The cast does a great job, but fuck, it's one of those movies you see once and only once.
Pattinson is the absolute delight of this film. The rest of the supporting cast was turning in good work too. I quite liked the tone of the film, the story structure reminded me of The Place Beyond the Pines. I do think Tom Holland is just not there (yet) with actors like Gosling who can carry most of a film, if not an entire film, with a subdued performance that is still very layered. Maybe he'll get there one day but I thought he was the thing that brought this film down.
I was debating whether to watch this but now with this comparison I must.Nomis wrote: ↑September 21st, 2020, 6:25 amPattinson is the absolute delight of this film. Pattinson
It's a good adaptation of the book. Very faithful.
This was ight
Honestly didn’t dig the voice over, really butted in. Pattinson was the only one having fun.

Didnt care for this. Seems really disjointed and messy. Bad narration as well. Performances are fine with Pattinson being the stand out.
