Yeah... and Cloud Atlas was not produced by WB.
Tenet - Box Office Autopsy
Lol, cant wait for in 2-3 years time Nolan announces is next high concept blockbuster on a 300 million Budget!
A time mind bending action filmed over 20 countries and in space, unknown b list cast. Everyone is wearing masks and has a foreign accent. Ludwig is back with his loudest score ever. 3 hours all in IMAX.
Nolan is never doing a small film again lmao.

This is the only unrealistic part! An IMAX film platter doesn't allow a run time any longer than 170 minutes. He'd have to have about a 30-minute intermission if he wants to go beyond that.Pr0creation wrote: ↑September 19th, 2020, 2:25 pmLol, cant wait for in 2-3 years time Nolan announces is next high concept blockbuster on a 300 million Budget!

this movie will end up doing fine. Internationally it'll have legs. a bummer about U.S. but it'll get some needed cash from those big, unopened markets. ironically, this movie will have its life on HBO Max and grow in reputation there.
as for Nolan, laughable to assume he won't be able to do what he wants. as mentioned, the industry in general will probably tone down their budgets. the only stipulation i see being put on Nolan is having to cast a true movie star.

I assume he’ll do another Dunkirk sized project - still massive but cheaper that you’d expect.
If he ever does have a budget that big, it wouldn't be in 2-3, more like 10-15 years.Pr0creation wrote: ↑September 19th, 2020, 2:25 pmLol, cant wait for in 2-3 years time Nolan announces is next high concept blockbuster on a 300 million Budget!

Tenet would have been much better if it were 3 hours. The characters were speaking WAY too fast for too many scenes.Pr0creation wrote: ↑September 19th, 2020, 2:25 pmLol, cant wait for in 2-3 years time Nolan announces is next high concept blockbuster on a 300 million Budget!

Nolan has had issues with this before (TDKR) it's almost as if he wants to get to the next scene/action scene as soon as possible.dragon_phoenix wrote: ↑September 19th, 2020, 9:37 pmTenet would have been much better if it were 3 hours. yea...and the thing is, no one in this world speaks that fast especially when there is technical terms involved like references to philosophy and physics in this movie, or exposition in general. It's ironic considering that Nolan tried to go for realism as much as possible. The Special One wrote: ↑September 19th, 2020, 10:33 pmNolan has had issues with this before (TDKR) it's almost as if he wants to get to the next scene/action scene as soon as possible.dragon_phoenix wrote: ↑September 19th, 2020, 9:37 pmTenet would have been much better if it were 3 hours. The scenes involved Poesy (Barbara) and JDW must be one of the clearest scene in the entire movie. He limited background music to the minimal and gave the audience sufficient time to take in the information. So it's obvious that Nolan purposely made the rest hard to follow the first time you watch it.
I guess Nolan wanted to overwhelm the audience with the action sequences and get them to watch the movie multiple times.
