I think Christopher Nolan's next film should be from the Fantasy genre. To me, he would be great at creating a film based on the 1998 Nintendo 64 game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Considering his movies are usually presented in the material world, I doubt he will ever make a fantasy movie. That genre requires things in the filmmaking that Nolan doesn't like to use: CGI being the obvious one. Also, he doesn't do aliens, I don't think he'll do creatures.
