I see you don't know much about what you're talking, so let me explain. It's not a remake, it's a new adaptation of what's considered by many, the best science fiction book of all time by Frank Herbert. Even Stars Wars was inspired by it. This is a fact.

Now BR2045 is a masterpiece imo. And the reactions by the critics were great. Only the average movie goer didn't like it because it's a much slower and philosophical kind of sci fi movie.
But one thing we can agree on is that with Nolan, he can make a fast paced action movie with some intellectual depth and still appeal to a larger scale audience.

Star Wars wannabe? Dune was published in 1965 and it's considered by many the best Sci Fi novel of all time. Star Wars was inspired by that book.
You clearly don't know what you're talking about and have no idea of the impact it will have amongst Sci Fi fans.
