The part that kinda bugs me in the prologue

Yea that part does feel a bit 'off' but I didn't mind it that much. What bothers me if how John Washington was running around but there so little shooting exchanges. But I bet this will be fixed during the editing room.

Let me get this straight.. I'm sure glad you guys aren't the director.
I am not saying that. Nolan obviously wants theninenin wrote: ↑July 4th, 2020, 9:59 pmdragon_phoenix wrote: ↑July 4th, 2020, 8:45 pmYea that part does feel a bit 'off' but I didn't mind it that much. Did anybody say a 2+minute shot? Another 20-30 seconds of establishing shots would work to showcase the audience more naturally being put to sleep and help have better flow in the whole scene, because the way it is portrayed right now is unrealistic and contrived.ninenin wrote: ↑July 4th, 2020, 9:59 pmdragon_phoenix wrote: ↑July 4th, 2020, 8:45 pmYea that part does feel a bit 'off' but I didn't mind it that much. I am pretty sure there will be further edit. The prologue was a cut done when the filming just concluded last December. I am sure we will see better editing in the actual movie.radewart wrote: ↑July 5th, 2020, 1:25 amDid anybody say a 2+minute shot? Hopefully, there will be more to the prologue, more fleshed out, in the actual movie. Because while it is entertaining, it is also weirdly edited and just confusing, really, IMO
That shot in the trailer, from the prologue, where he is escorting the VIP is super important because in the prologue, that shot isn't there, and so when JDW and VIP jumped down they are in the middle of the audience and then the next shot they are at the end of the isle. When watching the prologue (after the 10th time) I thought it was a continuity error. As soon as the trailer came out I noticed that shot, and thought shit, they shot the connective tissue...I've very curious if it's in the actual movie.KEM wrote: ↑July 4th, 2020, 7:45 pmJoshua Strong wrote: ↑July 4th, 2020, 6:28 pmThe Making Of book confirms that the opera house sequence is the opening of the film, I wonder if there’s more to the sequence of if is indeed the opening of the film as is. Not a lot of exposition in the prologue.
Maybe the prologue has strict time limits and Nolan trim that part to showcase the other action sequence.A Borges man wrote: ↑July 6th, 2020, 1:42 amThat shot in the trailer, from the prologue, where he is escorting the VIP is super important because in the prologue, that shot isn't there, and so when JDW and VIP jumped down they are in the middle of the audience and then the next shot they are at the end of the isle.
