uh oh, well i`ve never liked the sound design on the transformer movies, or any bay movie for that mater, its not like im worried though, the prologue sounded incredible.
Ludwig Göransson will compose Tenet
Mixing isn't sound design it should be noted. Richard King is still on board for sound editing as far as I know.Nicolaslabra wrote: ↑May 21st, 2020, 1:28 pmuh oh, well i`ve never liked the sound design on the transformer movies, or any bay movie for that mater, its not like im worried though, the prologue sounded incredible.
Im not sure its Ludwig in trailer #3, how about you guys? If it is then its a bit different from what we heard in first two trailers....
I'm betting not. The only element that (to me) sounds the same is the drum pattern at the end — which is easily recreated. Like it a lot tho.
When that piano kicked in as WB and Syncopy logos came, that was such an unexpected moment.
I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get to hear that part near the end of the prologue when the guy is threatening JDW in the truck. By far my favorite sound of everything we've heard.

Yep, it sounds great, but for me trailer 2 and prologue music are the best.
I’ve studied the prologue cue extensively so trust me when I say: you’re listening to Ludwig’s music. Now, that’s not to say that it’s part of the score but it’s definitely based on it.
Either Ludwig worked on it himself or collaborated with another “trailer” composer. Or they just re-worked some of his material without his direct involvement.
Most of the arpeggios are taken straight off the main theme in the prologue. Same chords just played with various synths in a different key. I wonder if we’ll hear something similar to this hardcore synth sound.
At the end you hear parts from the sizzle reel clearly.

Yup, you are 100% right. I'm still not convinced it's directly Ludwig's but maybe a custom commission piece, like Mind Heist or we've gotten for Endgame's trailers, based on the Prologue scoreAhmadAli95 wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2020, 4:49 amI’ve studied the prologue cue extensively so trust me when I say: you’re listening to Ludwig’s music.
