He totally took his Gladiator score and used it for Pirates of the Caribbean.

he did the same with Time for the score of 12 Years a Slave

I love his Interstellar/Dunkirk work though, and most of the 2049 score is perfect.

His new score for WIdows is terrific.

I'd love him to go back to something more traditional, like what won him his Oscar.

If he doesn't regurgitate his own work I'll be fine, either with this film or another. The last two film scores of his I experienced was his work on Dunkirk and 2049. I enjoyed both.

I trust whoever Dennis and the studio go with.

nah his stuff post tdkr
Hm, I think Zimmer has it in him to compose something incredible for Dune. That is, if he is asked by Villeneuve.

Would be pretty cool if Villeneuve already has the composer locked before they start shooting.

Not to mention his work on Planet Earth, Blue Planet, Man of Steel and Rush. Hidden Figures, TASM2 and BvS aren't all bad either. Honestly one could argue that the stuff he's done post-TDKR cumulatively are the best five years of his career.

And after what he did with 2049 I think it's pretty clear that Dune would be a great fit for him.

Here to rep Ben Wallfisch, who did all of the heavy lifting on 2049.

I quite dug Vermette's work on Arrival.
