He's not siding with critics. I have my differences with Allstar, but in this case, he's not wrong.

I love Wes Anderson's work, but how can you dismiss criticism if you haven't seen the film for yourself? C'mon.

there's like zero source material (as in, it's not an adaptation, etc.) to dispute these guys' criticisms.

Asians have historically suffered through their culture(s) constantly being othered, fetishized and presented on an ~exotic~ pedestal. But sure, it's "absurd"

Despite whether they're actually wrong or right in your opinion, you don't just shut off possibly very legit concerns from people who actually have every right to be concerned
