What a generic score. The composer branch of the Academy is so stuck in the past and traditional scores when rewarding people Oscars

Very happy for Lee Smith. Still cannot believe they refused to nominate him for Inception. But he got some justice tonight. Very well-deserved. He has done a lot of great work in his career.

I'll never understand as long as I live why the Academy felt that Del Toro either needed to be awarded for this particular average film or a recognition for his solid, but lesser filmography compared to Nolan. It's nonsensical.
