Longwinded rant/diatribe here, and this is all just speculative on my part, but if he's done filming soon, then Nolan is possibly done with the ship/sea portion of filming since Garcia was certainly one of the soldiers on the boat traveling home...which makes me wonder based on the footage we've seen of the all the stuff at sea that maybe Scylla was cut by Nolan.
I've seen alot of footage online of all the boats sailing around in Greece and Italy and nothing that looks like it would be part of scenes of a sea monster attack. I really hope I'm wrong, though maybe it's just too massive of a sequence for Nolan to do practical, but even with CGI, you think we would have seen filming of the aftermath of a ship wreckage from the attack.
It would be silly if the only fantastical element that's shown in the movie is the Cyclops (Which is already confirmed), and I don't think "Is it even possible to do this practically?" in in Nolan's head whenever he writes a script, doubt he would cut a story beat just because he can't do it practically.
Also that IG story only say that Jesse Garcia has finished filming, whose to say the rest of the crew has also finished? Maybe they saved the big stuff for last? Idk I remain positive Nolan will try to do some something he never done before.
Don't the crew of the ship get killed as the journey progresses? His character could be one that meets an early fate?
I think Nolan is hiding something big here, we havent seen any action based shooting after the morroco battle and the cyclop shoot, all we have been seeing for over a month is just ships sailing quietly without any rapid action or movement, we havent even seen pattinson's character considering he has wrapped shooting or has he ??. ig nolan is saving something very big, we havent literally seen anything except boats sailing normally for a long time, and does anybody know when they r expected to wrapp filming and how long is the shoot gonna be 4-5 months ??
and i was wondering given the lacklustre sets hollywoods been putting out lately like nothing matches the warmth and grittiness of sets like that of kingdom of heaven from ridley scott, dune, gladiator 2 and all the recent films have laclustre fakish sets, i will be beyond excited if we get to see sets on the level of that of kingdom of heaven ,especially indoor sets.
