Miniatures is an old-school technique that use scaled-down models to represent larger objects or environments, often in special effects shots. They are used to create an illusion of size and scale. Nolan famously used the technique in the car chase with the Tumbler in Dark Knight.
Good good. So that explains some of the work they were doing in LA last month. Also noticed "Creature Shop Supervisor"
"A Creature Shop Supervisor oversees the design and fabrication of creatures, puppets, and animatronics, often in a film or television production context."
Maybe Scylla?
Perhaps. Also Polyphemus.
Hope you don't mind that I posted about the miniatures unit on reddit.

Nope, hope you don't mind that twitter guy stole your news about the Game of Thrones actor being hired as a stunt performer, lol.

Both of them have worked together on Star War's Skeleton Crews. (granted not exactly on the same department, But I think this is a possible clue that the team are hiring crews surrounding that show)
And the miniature/puppet work there was Incredible.
I bummed a cigarette off of Phil Tippett outside a festival screening of Mad God, one of my proudest moments. Everyone should check out Mad God, maybe the greatest piece of stop motion I've ever seen. Since Nolan is a huge fan of the Quays, I'm positive he has seen it.
