That's definitely Cottle.Hustler wrote: ↑March 15th, 2025, 12:37 pmI think that's stunt coordinator George Cottle if I'm not mistaken, who's worked on most of Nolan's films since Batman Begins.Demoph wrote: ↑March 14th, 2025, 3:44 amhttps://x.com/ChrisNolanMedia/status/19 ... 6366496127
Isn't it Nathan Crowley in the back? Not a good picture but looks like him.

Nothing much here, but IMDB (and yes, I know, IMDB isn't official) list a visual effects artist on The Odyssey who works for Dneg (Double Negative). As much as I appreciate Nolan's commitment to practical effects, I hope he lets Dneg's very talented artist cook up some great stuff.

Thanks for sharing. You didn't ask me, but I think I prefer Nolan to stick to his approach with practical effects. However, this story can be done using a mix with CGI too. A seamless use of it would be great imo. Sort of what happened with Interstellar, or the Dune movies. The way I see it, if true, he will probably let them do their stuff too.radewart wrote: ↑March 20th, 2025, 1:19 pmNothing much here, but IMDB (and yes, I know, IMDB isn't official) list a visual effects artist on The Odyssey who works for Dneg (Double Negative). Oh yeah, I still want Nolan to do lots of stuff practical, of course. Interstellar is the perfect example, lots of stuff was done practical on the water planet and even with Tesseract scenes. But, then there was some absolutely stunning CGI work from Dneg throughout the movie with the black hole, etc.Paradoxicalparabola wrote: ↑March 20th, 2025, 2:29 pmThanks for sharing. I've just rewatched POTC 2, and it's crazy how well done the fight against the Kraken is at the end. This scene not only hasn't aged but it feels like it would be great if Nolan could reach this level of visceral action cinema for the Scylla sequence.
Verbinski or Cameron are able to use special effects in a way that enhances the escapism side of the film and really lets the audience venture in another world while keeping the emotion on a human level. I hope The Odyssey can grasp a bit of that.

Do we know if Jennifer Lame is back as the editor?

That would make me happy. I’ve been wanting to know too. If anything, if she is, Nolan probably already discussed the project with her long ago unless I’m wrong. If so, I just don’t know why these are not announced sooner.User of Interest wrote: ↑March 25th, 2025, 5:18 pmDo we know if Jennifer Lame is back as the editor?
From the on-set photos, we can confirm Scott Fisher, Luisa Abel and 'boom guy' Douglas Shamburger, I think he's part of Willie D. Burton's team.

If she's the editor, then she's with the crew working on the daylies. Nolan likes to have his editor working near the set. Oppenheimer was an exception because Lame was working on BP2, but she went to the various locations for Tenet.Paradoxicalparabola wrote: ↑March 25th, 2025, 5:41 pmThat would make me happy. Ruth De Jong is back as production designer. A digital set designer resume, I found online, lists her in the position for the Odyssey.
