By the way, Nolan, who also told me he was doubly thrilled to receive his directing Oscar from one of his idols Steven Spielberg, was eager to share a rather amusing anecdote about the outfit his son wore to the Oscars. It was a hand-me-down from Dad, and apparently it hadn’t been worn in 22 years since the inside pocket still held two tickets for the premiere of Nolan’s 2002 film, Insomnia. As I asked them to pose with the tickets while I took a snap, I also pointed out to Thomas that apparently the suit had never been dry cleaned.

Finally!
So happy for all of them, especially Nolan. And happy how he got his Oscar in the end. With not only him but six others as well.
The best thing ist that each win feels totally deserved. 7 Oscars. What a nice magic number. :D And kind of all the important categories. It somehow wouldn't have been so impressive if for example only Nolan had won for Best Director.
Oppenheimer will be a classic.

And thank you Mr. Nolan for staying true to yourself and insisting on a long cinema only release and thank you Universal for working with Nolan

2024 Writers Guild Awards

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movie ... 235873732/

finally end to awards season 2023-24
Not yet, HAHA. We still have the IFTAs and the David de Donatello Awards
Unfortunately, according to Wikipedia we already lost the David de Donatello Award for International film to Anatomy of a Fall.

So does that mean this award season is finally over?

According to Rotten Tomatoes Awards Leaderboard:

1. Oppenheimer, 235 Wins.
2. The Holdovers, 95 Wins.
3. Barbie, 83 Wins.
4. Poor Things, 65 Wins.
5. Killers of the Flower Moon, 53 Wins.

What a triumphant year for Nolan and for Nolanists!

The ceremony is on May 3th. Don't trust Wikipedia.
