Meanwhile, Oppenheimer might be about a bomb, but it’s certainly not a bomb in the box office sense of the word with the Universal Christopher Nolan directed movie eyeing $25.8M today, -22% from Friday night/previews of $33M for what’s shaping up to be an awesome $80M opening.
Lol

Nolan has progressively lost box office prowess and cultural relevance over the last 10 years. This movie is going to make less money than Tenet.
Sometimes it’s okay to be wrong, as Nolan fans we all win
They won’t understand it until they’ve seen it, and they won’t see it until they’ve watched it, YouTube clips can take you only so far…

Absolutely incredible numbers, far exceeding even the most lofty expectations. The movie deserves every success.

I remember when Dunkirk came out and did better at the BO than expected somebody posted a video of Nolan dancing with money falling around him while a mashup of the Deshi Basara chant/Are you Ready for This played.
Anyone still have that video?

I’m surprised the potential is only $380m at most WW for $170m opening especially since there’s no other big movie coming for the summer
