lol this and DS are still so far off from releasing.

TLOU is aiming for late 2019, could slip into early 2020. DS will probably come out sooner than GOT and is definitely 2020 and crossgen, as implied by Cerny.

Edit: just defeated Lady Butterfly in second try, in one life. Genichiro is next since I defeated every other major and minor boss before him. Uh-oh.

Anybody looking forward to Days Gone?

I forgot it was coming out this week but I remember watching a bunch of previews that were saying the game might surprise a lot of people and be a sleeper hit.

Hopefully we get another good Sony exclusive.

Edit: Holy smokes, has anyone seen the Days Gone video on the real time snow? It just starts snowing and the snow accumulated over time. Also I’ve seen live gameplay that takes place at night and there is a thunderstorm and the lighting from the lightning at night looks crazy good.

Yeah I’m not sure about purchasing Days Gone Day 1, but that snow timelapse video is a gamechanger, I want to see more of that in the next gen please!

Meanwhile, in Sekiro: Shadows Die 532 Times, I did it - Guardian Ape done! No hit run, at least in first phase. Second phase was tedious as fuck but I fucking did it.

Yeah, there are a few things in previews on Days Gone that sound interesting, one preview said there were 6ish hours of cutscenes (Metal Gear Solid 4 has 8ish hours of cutscenes for comparison) as it is heavily story focused and the game is supposed to be about 30ish hours long. I’m cautiously optimistic.

I’m at a part in Sekiro that has taken me over 10 hours already and I still haven’t beaten it. So yeah, I’m learning from this part but it’s still essentially 10+ hours of not progressing at all. You’ll know the part when you get there, I just hope it doesn’t take you as long as me to get past it lol.

Could you spoil it to me please? I know every boss encounter already.
If it’s tag team monkeys or Owl repeated I won’t even try those. Right now I’m on Father Owl, early hour of learning.

Sure but it is big spoilers
It’s the battle between Isshin Sword Saint. You face a 1 death blow boss that’s fairly tough to immediately face a 3 death blow boss that’s the toughest enemy IMO. I’ve gotten to the final phase but can only get him down a 3rd on posture/health. Is the tag team monkeys the headless and then the slightly smaller one fighting with him? That one is tough, if you try it go for the new monkey that joins the fight right away.
I’m going to cheese that last fight honestly (I’ve looked at videos how to avoid and get certain attacks from the boss). Otherwise I could see it taking another 5-10 hours honestly.

Honestly, I feel like anyone that beats most of the bosses and can beat the final boss has accomplished a pretty impressive task lol

Thanks! I already spoiled that fight, haven’t seen the cutscenes yet.

Yeah, my first personal goal was to not give up at the start lol... Then afterwards it was Genichiro... then I deleted the game on Corrupted Monk since I didn’t have any Divine confetti left. Anihilated him the next day and went for Guardian Ape’s sorry ass... I feel like I might get to the final boss and that is my current goal, to just get there, get all the skills and prosthetic upgrades, I’ll be happy with that. I’m on NG++ in Bloodborne and it’s my top 3 goat this generation but Sekiro might be even tougher... Still love the game and From are geniuses in world building and character/boss building. Must’ve spent good portion of 50+ hours so far just staring at distance thinking fuck that temple in the mountains? I can actually go there now look how beautiful it all is... and dynamic godrays in HDR, simply stunning graphical improvements all around.

Yeah, the game is a beast no doubt, I think I’m going to finally stick to Bloodborne and try and beat that after this. I’ve always loved Bloodborne but I get to like level 70, have something come up and I don’t play it for like 2 weeks and then I can’t remember where the heck I was supposed to go after that. That’s why I don’t really take a break from Sekiro for something else, I feel it will be like starting over if I took a few weeks off and I’d have to get over that learning curve again.

Anybody play or have opinions on Mortal Kombat 11? I was disappointed to hear a lot of reviews talk about micro transactions but if they aren’t that big of a deal I’ll probably give that one a try at some point.

I don’t get fighting games and their MTs. Some aren’t bad but there are some that have hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of them. I think I saw a video where one bar over a $1,000 worth of them (I want to say the game was Tekken 6 but my memory is foggy). How the hell is that shit worth that much?

I’m level 151 in Bloodborne, 100+ hours.

MK11 is wonderful. A bar set high for the genre.

Nice, always wanted to get into the fighting genre at some point and the gameplay/graphics looks awesome. NetherRealm games always interested me most compared to others so I’ll probably try it at some point.
