In my country there is only one 4k IMAX, wich is sad but its the best screen in the whole country anyway, the sadder thing is that it arrived in 2015, so the only Nolan film i`ve ever seen on it is Dunkirk, wich was awesome.

I'll be at Navy Pier for sure and I will take the drive down to Indianapolis to see the movie on the super big IMAX there.

Like Dunkirk, most of my shows will probably be at the Music Box in 70mm

I'm hoping to do Universal Citywalk. Legit 70mm IMAX screen and projector, so it's how Nolan wants it to be viewed.

I'm just wary about crowds and the enforcing of social distancing measures. I bet they'll block off certain sectors of seats or something. But I'm picturing scenarios where I'm sitting down with 2-3 seats blocked off to the side, and as the movie is starting some idiot who isn't satisfied with the seat he got in the front row, will just plop down in the empty seat right next to me, possibly exhaling coronavirus for the entire runtime of the movie. Then I'd have to go get an usher to kick him out and I miss out on parts of the movie while doing so.

I know this sounds like a completely imaginary worst case scenario, but I'm basing that on behavior I've observed on past visits. Movie patrons in LA can be assholes.

If we were living in a Star Trek world where money is no longer a form of currency, I'd fly down to either Sydney (if it's finished refurbishing) or Melbourne (the biggest IMAX screen on the planet 2nd only to Sydney) and go see it there, which is what I did for Dunkirk. Unfortunately, it seems like I won't be able to do either, but I do intend on seeing it locally at Palace Centro in Brisbane in 70mm, possibly even book a private screening for my birthday which will be on July 18.

Indy will show it in 70mm. It's pretty sad that's pretty much the only IMAX 70mm left in midwest  I hope they have improved their sound system

Japan has the release date for September 18th...

I'm crossing fingers for the travel restrictions to lift a bit and I'll either do:

Miramax IMAX of Taipei
Hong Kong iSquare Emperor
Beijing UME&IMAX

There are still 14 days of compulsory quarantine if you land in these countries tho, so now it's a question of wait and see.

That's my goal too, that's the reason I wanna go to Irvine and Ontario. I have moved to LA for a bit more than 3 years now but haven't been at those IMAX theaters, they showed Dunkirk in 70mm, so my hope they would do the same for Tenet

I genuinely hope one day I get to go to the one in Melbourne. I mean both Sydney and Melbourne

How bad is it in Japan now? Have they mentioned anything when they would reopen theaters there?
