Well if its not IMAX with Laser that really only leaves Xenon.
Regal needs to start specifying their formats like AMC on their sites. Fandango usually updates their info as they receive it, but it seems to be just a digital IMAX.Elyk988 wrote: ↑August 22nd, 2020, 2:57 pmMy bad, than what type of IMAX is it?
Personally I only consider the small screen sized IMAX as LieMax; Shorter than 40ft tall, less than 3500 sqr ft. Lincolnshire is 53x70, so it's a good size IMO.
I'm just silly in that I state anything that's not proper 15/70mm IMAX is "LieMAX," but I'm willing to give dual laser the benefit of the doubt here, haha.SINCEPTION wrote: ↑August 22nd, 2020, 3:30 pmRegal needs to start specifying their formats like AMC on their sites. But the REAL LieMAX theaters disappoint me so much. It really does give IMAX a bad name in that way. It also disappoints me to see people see a non-IMAX film in IMAX, period (as far as them thinking they're getting some unique experience, rather than just a big screen with loud noise).
Other than the obvious with 15/70 film IMAX, I consider dual laser with 1.3 or 1.4 ratio and proper seating angle to be real IMAX. LieMAX to me is the wider aspect ratio with normal theater seating angle.
There are some very large LieMAX screens such as the Chinese theater in Hollywood. And there are some smaller real IMAX screens like the Palms casino IMAX in Vegas. The seating angle and aspect ratio of the screen make a huge difference.
