Even if it does end up getting released in July, I do not think we'll be getting a trailer this soon. WB will have made up their mind by beginning of June at the latest.

We've had trailer #2, we're counting the one they didn't release online too. So you all are talking about trailer #3.
Many people didn't see the very first teaser as it played limited in theaters and also also wasn't released officially on WB's YT channel.

For the general audience, the next trailer will be considered Trailer 2.
Doesn't matter, we've had the second trailer already. Dunkirk's first trailer was really short too. We've already covered it as trailer #1 and #2 already. Next one up will be #3

Trailers 1&2 are both on YouTube. To boost marketing maybe they'll drop the prologue, maybe not. I bet WB's marketing department are stressed about it all :D :D :D

I honestly think they should drop the prologue. Yeah the whole point was to experience it I IMAX, but considering the situation we are in, I think releasing it online will actually be a good idea. Casual audiences will get a taste of it and be interested.

Beside Nolan, I wonder if IMAX has anything to do with the prologue not being released online - like contractually. I also think releasing the prologue now is the smartest thing to do because it would promote the movie without wasting the marketing budget too soon. Do it WB!

I‘m in marketing myself so that’s what I would do:

There is no way that cinemas will operate at 100% in July so WB has to do everything to put as much butts in the seats as possible. There is practically no competition and Tenet is the second most expensive original film ever. That fact could be used in some form to even peak the interest of the reserved ones.
Instead of giving us another trailer (the first one was awesome, but for the general audience kind of generic) I would upload the prologue with an extended reel at the end that shows a little bit more than the reel we saw with the prologue in IMAX.
Combined with all the press about „the film that has to save cinema“ and with Nolans name to it this could go viral. You wouldn‘t have to show a lot of new stuff like in other spoiler-heavy late trailers and let‘s be honest - the prologue is fucking awesome!!!
There would be theory videos on youtube and it would simply be something very special in a very special situation.
So unless Trailer 2 isn‘t the best trailer in the last 10 years this is how I would approach it. I would kill to be in the WB marketing meetings right now :D

I think it's supposed to be the third most expensive original film if I’m not mistaken. That’s behind Tangled and Avatar. Unless Tenet is more expensive than what we know right now that is.
