is Chris Nolan sort of venting his feelings on the whole Aurora shooting? (maybe theater shootings in general) perhaps very subconsiously, i remember him being very affected and offended, the thought of a thug stepping on an instrument of art its so evocative, i dont want to overanalyze and claim its a central theme, but more of a motiv of the scene.
I definitely had the same thought when I saw it, in a theatre, packed. I have no doubt Nolan is still affected by Aurora, and he will probably continue to process it through out his films. The quick shot of the terrorist putting his foot through the violin is a very robust, muscular image; the type of thing I think Nolan is awesome at. It's one of the shots I keep thinking about.
It really is quite striking,
the way his foot caves in the violin and the audio that accompanies it too.
It's not something that you see often in film, these beautiful sacred classical instruments being destroyed in such a brutal yet precise fashion, that it left me in a perverse state of wanting more of it

it’s such a morbid thing, it seems like a small action, but he felt the need to tell the extra, “hey, step on that prop cello, really hard and angrily, like you’re channeling all your terror into the Cello.

what do you search? I searched "Tenet prologue" but got back some really nasty-ass stuff
