Does it have to be WB? What about Ad Adstra in September?
Also, does it have to debut with a film? Instead of being released online whenever, then attached to whatever is playing at that time.

I bet Nolan is annoyed by the idea of The Joker movie. Might be with something else. It Chapter Two seems more likely.
I'm wondering if he isn't bit annoyed by the thematically similar movies which are coming out lately:
Gravity - Interstellar
Hacksaw Ridge - Dunkirk
Bond - Tenet.
Gravity - Yes, because it beat one of Interstellar's big selling points (big-budget hard-sci-fi) to the punch, and grossed more at the box office, was much better critically received, and received a metric ton more awards than Interstellar.

Hacksaw Ridge - No, because not as well-reviewed or that huge at the box office, and because there were two much bigger thorns in Dunkirk's side called Darkest Hour and Their Finest, two other films about Dunkirk that also came out in 2017 and kind of ruined the line that Mr. Nolan was repeating about how Dunkirk was an untold story that's never been done before and so on.

Bond 25 - There are like five spy movies coming out in 2020, after a big fat zero in 2019. Yes, it's weird.

I think the teaser trailer is going to be with either one clown or the other ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lol nice.

Regarding the teaser drop, it's hard to predict because everything WB has officially revealed (not unofficial set photos or leaks) about this film has been on a delayed schedule compared to his other July films.

So we can't go off the timetables of the marketing of his past July films as a guide.

I think because previous Nolan films have had teasers released around now. McCrabb made a bet a teaser would definitely be out with Hobbs & Shaw, and he would be able to claim he had some inside knowledge if he hinted a teaser would be out at the end of the month.

He will probably pivot by saying he was working on “1917” or “The Irishman”...

#Tenet seems as intense as Nolan’s other films get. But this is a disappointing teaser. Mainly close ups of John David Washington and not much else. Cool to see he is the MAIN lead though.
Tenet is scheduled to play with Hobbs&Shaw this week. It’s being told to be programmed as the 3rd to last trailer on prints of it

I’ll reserve my own judgement. It’s probably badass

I don't buy it.

How can a teaser to be ready to be played in theaters in a few days' time, and the only people who know about it are random people on Twitter? Has that happened before?

But the teaser description itself sounds legit, because I see people still thinking that Mr. Pattinson is the lead, and that would definitely be a good way to set the record straight.

Have we learned anything from Dunkirk? If it was sent to theaters, why is there only one person speaking about it? And how did he get to see when we know how protective Nolan and WB are about their joint projects. The file would probably be encrypted.
