According to Sveti, the 5066 square meter land plot at Sadama Street was rented from May 20 to June 20. However, near the cruise ship, 14 smaller properties were rented at the addresses of Vööri, Halsi, Logi and Rumbi streets from 28 May to 28 June. The second area is mainly used for servicing.

However, it can be seen from Tallinn's public operative information that at the request of Allfil, part of the Log Street is closed from May 28 to June 23, the Vööri Street section and the Kursi Street parking lot from June 3 to June 21, and the connection between Rumbi Street and the Kuras Street Kalasadama and the North Avenue is closed From June 10 to June 21.

The Kumu Art Museum is said to be one of the shooting venues, but they did not agree to publish anything.

"It is not possible for the Art Museum of Estonia to comment on this topic," said Karel Zova, a communication specialist at the museum.

I'm not sure if you people realise just how bizarre this turn of events is for Estonians with even a passing interest in Nolan's films. Shooting in the Old Town of Tallinn would be one thing, because it is at least well-known internationally. But hearing a studio representative on TV talking about how a large part of Nolan's vision hangs upon using probably the most infamously ugly area of the city feels like a very strange joke.

I'm not even mad! I guess most people have fantasised about how their mundane neighbourhood would look like when given the Hollywood treatment. But it is all extremely unexpected, nonetheless. And our Soviet architectural legacy does have a sort of majesty to it, it's just very hard to see when you look at it every day and associate it with the most unpleasant section of our recent history.

Anyway, there is another confirmed filming site: an old courthouse that was vacated last year. It's low-key compared to the other sites, but I got a few pictures from inside a set decoration truck at least. Let the speculation about the items begin! Although I doubt that even this forum can deduce anything useful about them.

That's all for now! I'll gladly answer any questions you might have about the locations, although there's at least one more Estonian on the forum already.
TLL, what is the location of the courthouse? Is it on Pärnu mnt, or Liivalaia? I walked in that area today, but was unable to find it.
I live right across the road in Uus Maailm.

Liivalaia 24, vana Harju Maakohus.

Feel free to take more pictures there and elsewhere on town, it regrettably looks like I probably won't be able to visit Tallinn during June.

Car jump sequence?
I'd guess more for getting film equipment up and into that area. Those look way too steep for car jump sequences.
That was my thought as well
It's a giant monster truck, plainly.

Ambulance and police cars brought by a fenced city hall, with letters indicating the possibility that the film's action might take place in Ukraine.
In addition to Ukrainian-language ambulance and police cars, cars from the Ukrainian rapid response unit KORD, similar to the US police specialty SWAT, were also stationed.

So now we have the confirmation that the story will set in the present day.
I really hope the movie will have some Michael Mann takes on the action, something very realistic and brutal.
It's going to be amazing.
And a HUGE thing.

Nolan is big fan of Heat. TDK Prologue is inspired from Heat and you can see some influence in street shooting scene in Inception too.

Yes absolutely. Jesus Christ we don't know what this project will be but damn it's going to be something no doubt about it. Can't wait.

That's cool and all, but can you people stop quoting huge posts with tons of images? Makes the thread so much harder to navigate, especially for mobile users.

Same, been reporting so many posts but none of the mods do anything about it.
