Not the topic for this discussion, but... to be honest, "year" is a human invention (or convention), so if you really want to look at time that way, I guess you could always come up with these "this year and this year was a horrible year" arguments, but I never liked them :D There are good times and worse times and very bad times - and of course it can get worse, but it can get better as well. It can also depend on where you live, but, for example, even my parents' generation had much worse times than these back when they were younger, and they turned out fine. Don't be afraid of years :D Make the best of your time.
i get what you say, but so much of our lives revolves around this concept made by our very selves, it becomes inescapable, years affect many things in quantifiable ways like jobs and economy, people make plans for the year etc, so while things like the pandemic are not bound by these divided measures of time, so many other things in our lives are

One source in close contact with the studios tells Variety that if Warner Bros. and Disney were facing a scenario in which Europe and Asia open first with “Tenet” and “Mulan” followed by the U.S. a couple of weeks later, “they’d do it every day of the week.” “The problem is they don’t know when the U.S. market is going to open up, and they’re not comfortable going longer than two weeks due to piracy.”
Ok so there is a real possibility that the film will be released in 23 days in Europe !

Delayed indefinitely.
“We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for Tenet, Christopher Nolan’s wholly original and mind-blowing feature,” said Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich in a statement. “We are not treating Tenet like a traditional global day-and-date release, and our upcoming marketing and distribution plans will reflect that.”

“Our goals throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success for our films while also being ready to support our theater partners with new content as soon as they could safely reopen,” Emmerich said. “We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from exhibitors and remain steadfast in our commitment to the theatrical experience around the world. Unfortunately, the pandemic continues to proliferate, causing us to reevaluate our release dates.”
