Prediction of this site:
https://www.boxofficepro.com/long-range ... ans-tenet/

Opening Weekend (Domestic): 25 million
Domestic gross: 200 million
International gross: 500 million
Worldwide gross: 700 million

8-10x multiplier is extremely optimistic. The reaction on social media from normal moviegoers is looking pretty mixed.

Does anyone know the opening weekend box office numbers for other Nolan films?

Don't forget that the opening weekend of 25 million is without important states like California or NY. And also don't forget that Tenet has nearly no tentpole competitors till November. Even till the end of the year. Wonder Woman (October), James Bond, Black Widow (November) and Dune (December). When alternatives are rare, people go watch Tenet. Even people who wouldn't have watched it in normal times. Tenet will be a sleeper hit! I'm pretty sure.

And as variety confirmed now, Tenet grossed 53 million in it's international opening weekend. Thats far better than the previous predictions (20-35 million).

As we began to glean over the weekend, and as we wrote on Saturday (see below), momentum was building towards a bow at $40M+, so this is a very encouraging and promising debut, particularly for a director whose films tend to leg out. Suffice to say, there is joy in Burbank today, as well as for other studios and exhibition in general who were all on Tenet-erhooks leading into this release — it’s a positive sign for the theatrical business.

Box Office: Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’ Enjoys Surprisingly Strong Debut Overseas

$53M is a good result, better than I anticipated. I remember Dunkirk getting similar numbers for its international OW.

At this point, all I can hope for is this to reach $400M total. It'll be tough, but it's off to a promising start.
