Robert was brilliant in The Rover and Good Times. I've always thought he is a hidden gem of talent. Nolan has an amazing eye for things like that. Cannot wait to see what performance he pulls out.

Yes. And also because he looks like a forest creature. A ginger forest creature. If you were casting him in a Hobbit movie that would make sense since he wouldn't need makeup and would fit right in.But for a big Nolan event movie? Twilight was like ten years ago and he's done a lot of great work since.
And there are lots of actors who are hella ugly but they're amazing on screen so idk why his looks matter when he's good at his job.
