We will find out soon enough. Can hardly expect a mundane or routine project.
I mean why wouldn’t they maximize the publicity of the project at the announcement? Real genuine hype is hard to come by. The hype for TDK was unreal.

Yep. Every studio has at least one "event" movie each month of the year. Every Nolan movie gets this treatment. The teaser trailer for Interstellar went so far as to say "ONE YEAR FROM NOW" like it's the most important movie event of the year when it was never, ever gonna be a Star Wars kind of mega blockbuster.Sharkboy wrote: ↑January 29th, 2019, 7:31 pmWe have been so starved for attention that people are genuinely reading way too much into this, to the point that a thread has been made.
Event films are what WB calls anything that will receive a significant amount of advertising, it implies a blockbuster, but that isn't guaranteed because Nolan could do a smaller budget film and it would still be 'an event' considering who he is.
Basically people need to chill on this whole 'Event' stuff.
Yeah I agree that it's a game of semantics at this point, but these threads are here for speculation or else the mods wouldn't have made them. I contend this won't be just another 'event' film like the other examples cited. But no one can really say until future press releases.Sharkboy wrote: ↑January 29th, 2019, 7:31 pmWe have been so starved for attention that people are genuinely reading way too much into this, to the point that a thread has been made.
