I wanted to share some potentially true info with peeps who would appreciate it. Please take this with a grain of salt. First of all, this isn't some bs "I have an insider scoop" or something it's just a small tidbit I found out from someone in my family. I was told by that someone who has connections with a studio that Ludwig Goranson works at, that Nolan is doing some last-minute editing for the film and that they are doing some heavy restructuring of certain scenes. Also, I was told the score sounds amazing. In addition, Nolan actually goes to the studio sometimes to check in on the score which is pretty cool. I have heard that he is pretty hands-on with everything. Other than Covid-19, I believe that the delays happened partly because there is still a lot of work to be done in the editing room. I also forgot to say that it's really stressful for the editors because Nolan is asking for many things and changes and they don't have much time.

So I found this: https://letterboxd.com/davismatthews/film/tenet/

Anyone knows if this could be trusted? It’s kind of a weird review.
I noticed this letterboxd account was removed, and then someone opened a new account under the same username.

I recall that the reviewer allegedly attended a Tenet screening in late March. He stated the movie was great except the end of the movie, which was hard to follow. He also mentioned JDW has tea during the first part of the movie.

Afterwards we received a photo and the next trailer which showed JDW holding tea, giving credence to the review.

Given above, this could refer to restructuring of the end of the movie.

This reviewer allegedly attended a test screening which occurred at the same time and place as the other reviewer's test screening. This stylistically different review was posted two months after the other reviewer's account and review were removed. This gives credence to all of the above.

Interesting. Although I don’t know if we can say all that gives credence but it does seem curious. Now, before this user on Letterboxd wrote his review, many other people were writing different things as well but the content was getting deleted sporadically, so it has happened with other users who weren’t even posting anything related. I always say 50/50 though and the user’s reviews on Letterboxd were good actually.

I don’t know about this Dragon Knight person though. I mean, if the first assistant director says "it’s like inception but complicated", then I don’t think this movie may end up being less complicated than inception if you ask me. Inception was complex but it wasn’t very hard to follow If you payed attention. Also, saying "plot holes" is very easy to do when someone reviews a movie but doesn't understand something. Some people don’t even really know when a plot hole occurs.

I’m staying neutral about all this. We'll see.

I seriously doubt the validity of these letterbox reviews. I've been reading movie news sites online for many years. They were always posting test screening reviews and such of many films, but never anything for Nolan films. He doesn't do traditional test screening with audience members who will then post thoughts online. As others have mentioned, he shows works in progress to friends and families who aren't gonna post thoughts for general public.

The release date is so unrealistic. It needs to move to at least October or December.
I know countries are in a worse condition than mine. But, I'm in Melbourne, Australia and after lifting restrictions with only a few cases for weeks we now have our biggest spike ever. And we're going straight back into lockdown (not going outside houses for 6 weeks) meaning cinemas and everything will be closed when Tenet is supposed to open on August 12.

WB needs to resign to the fact that no major films should be released in cinemas in August.

Can we stop with the letterbox review lmao? It's like the "secret Inception sequel" meme.

That review is fake, period. Movie wasn't even finished at the time.
