I just had a great conversation with a person that was on set during TENET filming in one of California's airport (cause I'm from Europe and don't know the locations by name very well). I won't say his name for the sake of his privacy, he was not a part of the film crew but he was in the area doing work related to aviation because he is a former pilot and engineer, for the sake of the film he was trying not to say much but I managed to get a few things out of him, he basically told me this:
"Seeing the set was cool, they shot different takes in many different ways and for me as someone who does not understand the filming process very well was a little confusing to tell what story they were trying to tell with those scenes."

I asked him about the actors and he told me that during the period of time that he was there ,there weren't any of the actors. The scenes were shot with a team of engineers ,pilots, stunts, a lot of other workers and of course the filming crew. Maybe the actors were sent to shot another day or maybe they shot the scenes in another location or studio built as the inside of the plane, but he wasn't sure for this.

He also told me this when I asked him about the plane crash: "After watching the trailer with cars moving in reverse It made me understand what they did with the plane that day. I am pretty sure that there is going to happen some of that time manipulation with the plane, but as far as I saw no plane crash happens, only some small explosions to make you think that there is a battle going on inside."

And then he concluded: "I am a fan and can not wait to see the movie. I'm sure there will be some surprises, let's see what makes the directors cut."
What do you guys think?
Well Nolan certainly doesn’t do directors cuts, but nonetheless I’m excited

Interesting, so it sounds like there's a shootout possibly inside the plane.

He didn't meant like the "director's cut" "that there will be extra scenes when the BlueRay comes out". By that he meant that from all of those different takes that were shot there, he is interested to see which of those takes Nolan will choose to show in the final projects shown in theaters. I am not quite sure if I explained it right.

Yes, that was my thinking also. Maybe a shootout with a time manipulation included.

Even though he didn't see the plane crash someone on Instagram verified this with a picture of a plane that had crashed into an airport hangar.

Yes you're right, i have also seen that before talking to him. But when I mentioned to him the word "crash" I also referred to him the "car flip crash" at the end of the trailer end maybe when he answered to me he had in mind something like that that's why he said no. Maybe that is just the scene that when the plane landed the brakes didn't work so well and the plane just slightly damaged the hangar. That's a big plane, it can do a lot of damage. Who knows? Like i also mentioned, the guy didn't want to spoil much about this, and maybe he is right, we will enjoy it more in the premiere if we didn't know nothing at all.

We don't know for sure and all these 'leaks' have been pretty vague. One thing we know for sure is there there will be a plane scene.

Imagine that for a moment:
A fucking gunfight happening normally inside a plane going backwards, from landing to flying. Characters would be confused as to how gravity and forces go, a bit à la Inception hallway fight scene.
How good would that look on screen
