Not sure if it’s just me, but I cringed at the part where
“Tenet will open the right doors and some of the wrong ones too.” And then proceeding to show JDW walking through a literal door that Poesy unlocks for him using the code word Tenet.

I'm conflicted on whether I should make the drive. It would be Los Angeles, California to Las Vegas, Nevada. Each way is about 290 miles, depending on traffic, 4.5 to 5 hours.

Without spoilers, how was the second viewing?

It's been my experience with Nolan's films that they're even better on the second viewing. Was definitely the case for me with Interstellar. First time was a bit confusing, but second time was when I fell in love with the movie.

Even had similar effect with Dunkirk. Not that it was hard to understand, but the structure of the movie just flowed better for me the second time.
You should just make a weekend out of your trip, Vegas hotels are pretty cheap right now.
So, don't go to a local theater because they're probably closed due to Covid.. BUT .. make a weekend trip to a major tourist attraction, stay the weekend and watch the film in a major city. Right.
Absolutely

Roeper gave it 3.5/4

Anyone know how this stacks with his other Nolan movie reviews?

Talking about his scores. How does 3.5 for Tenet stack against the others?

It's a little lower. Since 2008 he has given all of his movies 4 stars except for The Dark Knight Rises, which he gave 3.5 as well.
