I might be wrong, but I suppose the new poster really needs the exact release date, so... not until that is settled, I'd guess.
The updated poster has an exact release date tho so

I saw these numbers posted on Reddit. They are the number of visual effects shots in Nolan's films. Anyone know if these are accurate? Also wondering how many Dunkirk had.

Batman Begins - 620
The Dark Knight - 370
Inception - 500
The Dark Knight Rises - 450
Interstellar - 850

Those don't look quite right, but dunkirk was 425-500 depending where you look.

Nah, I don't buy it, I still believe this is a smaller scale western sequel to Inception.

Do you think they are too low or too high? Also, I was just looking at this article:

https://comicbook.com/starwars/news/how ... ies-and-o/

How can a film like Transformers have only 630 VFX shots when there are extremely long sequences filled with computer generated robots? How are VFX shots counted? Is it frame by frame, or just the scenes?

I think Interstellar is closer to 700? Don't remember well for the others.

I found this website:

http://www.upcomingvfxmovies.com/svfx-shots-race/

It says 700 for Interstellar. I think I just have no idea how VFX shots are counted. Or maybe some films seem really heavy with special effects and in reality they aren't.

Dunkirk vfx shots count is 429 for the final cut and of course IMAX 70MM PRINTS have less cause they pushed for a lesser scanning that could be and those were composited and rendered at a 6.1K RESOLUTION 6144 X 4481 for the 70MM 15P shots and at 6144 X 2688 for standard 70MM 5P shots it's been a premiere and for sure they adopted the same pipeline and workflow for TENET.
ps STEVEN SPIELBERG's WEST SIDE STORY was shot on 35MM ANAMORPHIC and the VFX are currently finished by MPC and DIGITAL DOMAIN at a 6K resolution you know that most 35MM productions and almost everyone is completed at 2K for the VFX so it's also a first. :batman: :batman: :batman: :batman: :batman: :batman: :batman: :batman:
