Also the line some random soldier told asking Collins "where were they when they needed them" felt like a small punch to the gut.
you forgot the next line from Rylance

"they know where you were"

He was referring to the other lads on the Moonstone, since they had seen Collins and Farrier fighting

"He's on me!"

"I'm on him."

I just love that calm and collected, casual reply of reassurance as Farrier proceed to shoot down the Luftwaffe fighter.

The whole ending depresses me
George and Gibson dead
Alex wrecked with guilt
Tommy knows the war is not over and will probably be sent back
Farrier captured
Collins shamed
Shivering Soldier knows he killed George
Dawson and son having to live with a young friend's death
:(

Also, Peter striked me as someone who was underage (possibly why he hadn't been conscripted yet), but knowing as it was 1940, who's to say the kid wasn't about to be drafted into the military too.

Peter is definitely underaged considering how he's still in high school.

Yeah I assumed that he potentially could've been school or even class mates (didn't take a good look at the photo) with George but didn't know for sure. Seems like I missed a lot of small details, idk what my brain was doing whilst watching this lol.
