Vanity Fair (positive)
Watching Dunkirk, Christopher Nolan’s W.W. II film opening July 21, I kept trying to come up with terms to classify it. It was a dance piece, then a music video, then a poem, then a prayer. The film is many things. Something it’s not is a conventional war film in any way I thought it would be. Nolan, a technician with luxe taste and a seriousness in his heart, has made his most artful, impressionistic film to date.

This is strange the old critic from the Minneapolis Star Tribune did a review. He has not written a review in a decade.
3.5/4
"'Dark Knight' director Christopher Nolan turns defeat at 'Dunkirk' into a cinematic triumph REVIEW: This ferocious depiction of the World War II beachfront battle will awe some viewers and alienate others — for the same basic reasons."

He is on RT. I do not if it will be add to RT since it has been 10 years since he done a review.
