So the Academy will have to take an exceptional liking to Dunkirk's sound mixing for it to win.
Interstellar won visual effects a year after Gravity did. The Academy is more than willing to honor to films in the same genre in back to back years.

Best Picture, Best Original Score, Best Supporting Actor (Mark Rylance), Best Original Screenplay

Best Production Design, Best Costume Design


Dunkirk sweeps the BAFTAs and receives a SAG nomination for best ensemble.

Poor Deakins. Would not surprise me if Hoyte swoops in and steals the statue. :lol: This opinion will probably be reinforced tonight when I see it in the proper 1.43 ratio with better projection quality than 2k LieMAX.

Best Director and Best Cinematography are the only awards I care about for this.
