Interstellar won visual effects a year after Gravity did. The Academy is more than willing to honor to films in the same genre in back to back years.

You are prepared to this knowing the nature of the film. Nothings beats off Mann's death/Endurance's explosion in Interstellar.

Best Director, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, Best Sound Editing

Best Picture, Best Original Score, Best Supporting Actor (Mark Rylance), Best Original Screenplay

Best Production Design, Best Costume Design


Dunkirk sweeps the BAFTAs and receives a SAG nomination for best ensemble.

Poor Deakins. Would not surprise me if Hoyte swoops in and steals the statue. :lol: This opinion will probably be reinforced tonight when I see it in the proper 1.43 ratio with better projection quality than 2k LieMAX.
