Yeah. That's what prevents me to get excited. DiCaprio joining this would be huge news and yet this random french site is the only one reporting it.

In fairness, the same exact thing happened with Cotillard being in TDKR. Also, this publication accurately broke the news about this project. So it is not something to dismiss but until it is confirmed it is not worth getting excited about, I agree.

It is possible they confused Leo with Mark Rylance... they both won Oscars this year.

Some Spanish site(http://www.elmulticine.com/noticias2.php?orden=471040 )posted this info back when all the other castings was confirmed earlier this month.
Some odd translation here-
The new film project Christopher Nolan could join again with Leonardo DiCaprio. The Hollywood Oscar winner for 'The Reborn' is on the verge of joining the cast of the war film 'Dunkerque', which would also be next to Tom Hardy.
Both Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy were together in the exciting thriller 'Origin' (Inception), directed by Christopher Nolan. Now also triple reeditarían collaboration in the war film 'Dunkerque' next project director of the trilogy of The Dark Knight.
The theatrical release of 'Dunkerque' is scheduled for July 21, 2017, and shooting still expected in the month of May. Besides filming the caravan will move to various locations in the UK and France. The filming will be in IMAX Dgitial and 65 millimeters, as a personal signature of Christopher Nolan.

Leonardo DiCaprio achieved success in 2016 with the film 'The Reborn' (The Revenant), directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. In which case, he was also present the actor Tom Hardy, nominated for best supporting actor.

and then some other French sites picked it up but said to be very cautious of it as its a rumor from no great source. https://translate.google.co.uk/translat ... rev=search
The information is to be taken with great caution. According to the Spanish site elmuticine.com, Leonardo DiCaprio could be the cast of the film "Dunkirk" by Christopher Nolan.
At Dunkirk, no confirmation yet that information as much as the actor, Oscar winner last few days, seems to have another film project with Martin Scorsese.
