About Caine... I don't know, his characters has never died in the previous films, but in Interstellar he did. Maybe, I don't know, that was some kind of sign that this isn't so sure thing we'll see him in Nolan's next thing?

Oh trust me, until the real Michael Caine dies (which hopefully never happens) he will be in every Christopher Nolan film in some way or another.
