A very Nolan-y article - not sure if this has been posted. Lots of references to his other films.

not working for me. Could you put url tags around it - that helps when there are parens and stuff in a link.

Edit - and lol - I got it to work by copying the whole link as text and pasting in browser. haha

Such good grammar and punctuation too...
"the one in which collins and alex want to feel alive and use each other to do so, it's late evening and they've just escaped a war zone"

Fantastic article on Paste about how Nolan has approached time in his films and why Dunkirk is a new peak for him in that regard. Touches on a lot of things that have been discussed here but really does a good job of explaining why the three timelines work so well and the thematic/aesthetic reasons associated with that, plus really digs into why the end of the film is a beautiful, truthful conclusion. And, again, puts it all into context with Nolan's filmography. I think you guys will really enjoy it.

Ah, but they do state this:

"Dunkirk also grants perspective. We see a Stuka shot down; in the next moment we see that same Stuka flying on past a boat it has failed to hit, Rylance’s Mr. Dawson stating that the plane “has bigger fish to fry.”

I really want to pretend these are the same plane. It makes me sleep better at night lol.

Can anyone re-post the link to the article that starts off with an idiot's guide to the evacuation and such?

Hey, does the BTS book or any other source have any good images of Collins? If so, would anyone be willing to make a high res scan for me? I'd like to paint Jack as Collins but I'm failing to find good reference pics...
