10. A director's cut is coming.

In fact, it has been assembled and ready since last May, half a year before the film's release. No word on a release date, yet, of course, but it's definitely out there, somewhere in the infinite vastness of space and time.
Don't see much point given the film is already un-studio-tampered-and-director's-cut as it is, but if the IMAX platter limitation played too much in this, and this cut is more of an extended cut then...

That would be wonderful but... how likely is it to be true?

But, I'll believe it when I see it.

Info is apparently (according to original Esquire UK post http://www.esquire.co.uk/culture/film-t ... now-about/) from the ‘Interstellar: Beyond Time and Space: Inside Christopher Nolan’s Sci-Fi Epic’ book...

What are the odds of Esquire misreading something...

Wasn't Nolan asked about this recently? Didn't he say there were no deleted scenes?

As i wrote on the general film thread , i dont believe it. It sounds completely random. Nolan is so affirmative about the theater experience , and he's going to release a different film on home video ? Sounds bullshit , like the tdkr rumors about a director's cut.

Wasn't it reported that Nolan cut the movie and showed it to the studio in May ? It's was a director's cut and assembled then...maybe this is what they misread

Esquire misread it. I just checked my copy of Interstellar: Beyond Time and Space. Towards the end, there is a paragraph talking about how post-production was constantly ahead of schedule—mentioning that by May of 2014, "a director's cut had already been assembled". Clearly, this is referring to the final cut we have all seen.
