This movie is excellent. The science is dead-on, and as you would come to expect from Christopher Nolan, the story is excellent as well. I wanted to write this in case some of you have been scared off by those that have written articles criticizing the science in this movie. Just know, that those people are very wrong. I have detailed my response to them here:

in case any of you were interested!

Thanks.

Welcome to Nolan Fans!

Thank you for your insight. It seemed weird to hear Plait hate on the science of the movie, when it was grounded with what Kip Thorne advised (with some slight liberty).

Now it seems that Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson and Dr. Michio Kaku enjoyed it

Fascinating post. As someone who lives and breathes equations, it's so poetic to see stuff like this materialize. Good work

Amazing write up, although I'll be the first to admit half goes over my head and the other half goes way way over.

I really laud you of your work, but I have to say this - the critics who criticized the science in the movie get bulk of their scientific information from Hollywood. You know the line that a lot of people are using to describe Interstellar - "imagination exceeds their intellectual grasp", is actually about the critics themselves. They watched too much sci-fi, read a few fiction novels and somehow they got the idea they can critique quantum physics. A person of your level of expertise shouldn't even bother listening to those.
