When Coop and Brand are sling shotting around gargantuan and coop releases his drop ship into the black hole. Then when Coop ejects out of the drop ship and the booming music/sounds of the ship being ripped apart go silent, and all you hear is Coops breathing/reverberating moans as he descends into the seemingly eternal abyss of darkness. Anger, sorrow, curiosity, and bewilderment are just a few of the emotions that this short 3 minute scene caused me to feel, and I loved every second of it!
This scene gets my vote. It is such a wonderful homage to 2001, but is also a spiritual successor to it. I loved this entire sequence.

Coop in the 5th dimension tesseract, yelling "stay" as he watches himself leave young Murph. That shit fucked me up bad.

Another scene that someone has yet to add
When the Endurance is near saturn and coop tells the anxious Romilly about how early sailors didn't know how to swim, and then gives him his headphones that were playing the sounds of a rain storm back on earth. The wide shot of Saturn with the distant faint speck that is the endurance, accompanied only by the sounds of the storm was one of the simplest, yet most amazing shots of the entire movie for me. I get goosebumps just thinking about it

YES FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONS IT. I've never ever seen this done in film before. Absolutely amazing.

The jump cut transition scene - Coop leaving Murph and driving his truck to the rocket launch with the countdown, and the rocket launching into space. This is one of the most artistic transitions I've ever seen. It makes the film feel larger than life.

I also enjoyed the opening shot:
The "Interstellar" title over the bookshelf - with Zimmer's music slowly building. I think the audience was laughing because they had to turn their heads from left to right to read the one word across the entire screen! Regarding Zimmer's music for this film in general - it's amazing how grand he made the film feel with his music alone - it's as though, if I had a year's worth of hype building up for this movie, it was incredible how he helped make the film live up to this and surpass it with his music from the very first second of the movie and on!

Nice. Finally figured the headphones, thanks. There was a storm outside and I actually thought we could listen to it, because the theatre I was in didn't have enough isolation. :lol:
