To be honest f~ck RT.

All I see are a bunch of whiney little b-tches complaining about being too dimwitted to understand the movie, then going on about EXPOSITION THIS EXPOSITION THAT. Just enjoy the movie within it's own context!

On Topic: I predict Interstellar will stay between 65-75. Even though I'd give it a good 90 at least

Having seen the movie I can perfectly understand certain criticisms (not saying I agree with them). But exposition is one I don't get here. It's absolutely necessary to the story. If anything, one could argue that not enough is explained.

I agree with you 100%. I can see where the criticisms are coming from. But if we're talking about the same thing, there's crap like that in every sci-fi movie. Maybe not exactly the same but they're all still unconventional ideas. The "love" thing was needed in this story, and it makes it much more beautiful. To be honest it might make you cringe or laugh at times but when you look at the bigger picture, it's what makes it a masterpiece. Nolan didn't name it "Flora's Letter" for no reason!

it needs to drop below 70 to drop its certified fresh rating. at this point reviews dont matter anymore as WOM is very good

I think it happened with other movies.
It only happens usually for movies that are flat out bad. You can easily have 80% of critics dislike a movie while giving it a 4/10 rating, which would mean a 20% RT score and 40 Metacritic. It's extremely rare for a movie with a good Metacritic score to end up with a lower RT percentage.

True, but shit it looks like Traver's didn't get the final word in for the major critics; Joe Morgenstern did and his review has dropped the MC score 2 points...

I won't fret too much though, he was one of the idiots who gave The Dark Knight a mixed review...

Has Rex Reed chimed in yet? He might have the final say.
