Sniper was literally a clusterfuck of a film in terms of Sound and Editing, and I hope it doesn't win anything.

Interstellar had sound problems in theater also, weather if that's the movie's fault or not doesn't really matter to the oscar voters

It didn't matter. Most of the voters are over 60 years old, they can't hear a thing.

That's assuming they even watched it in the first place. I can picture a lot of older voters not bothering with any films that don't get the highest amount of buzz.
