This scene looks pretty unfinished, it doesn't look a real planet, very odd.

I imagine that's what it really looks like from that distance.

Unbelievable amount of emotions right there.
Are you by chance able to slow down this clip? My favorite part is when she screams "Dad!!!" at the end - but it cuts away pretty fast - would love to see this GIF in slow-motion.

That's about as authentic as Saturn can look. They could have used a real image in that shot for all we know.

Yeah I think the problem is that it actually looks real, and therefore, because of what people are used to seeing as far as space in movies, not real.

Exactly. Here's an actual image from NASA's spacecraft Cassini back in 2004, from a distance of 3.9 million miles away from Saturn. 126 images were compiled to create this view. As much as I thought the scene looked a little weird in the trailer, I'd say Nolan is spot on.

Yep. I'm more curious as to why exactly they're flying so damn close to the planet. They're literally between Saturn and its rings.

It's a cool shot regardless.

Yeah that's actually a very good question. A lot of space probes use planets in our solar system as "gravitational speed boosts" but I doubt that for that to work you have to be that close. I don't know for sure but in that shot it's true that they seem to be extremely close to the planet.

I have no idea how to make gifs or slow them down
I've found one though:
