A lot, I'm sure. Interstellar is even worse than Rises with obviously missing scenes/shots for the sake of making the movie as short as possible.

Has Nolan previously released extended cuts of his movies? I saw Interstellar yesterday. Although a fantastic movie, I feel some parts were rushed. I hope the bluray release is an extended version.

Nolan never released extended cut and I don't think so this will be an exception.

A sequel???

Interview in the UK with Matthew McConaughey and he says if there is a sequel, he'd love to do it.

In another interview he said that Chris Nolan was the greatest director he'd ever worked for (which includes Scorsese, Spielberg, Zemeckis, Friedkin and of course his pal Linklater).

Speaking of Zemeckis, if Interstellar is as disappointing and "overly sentimental" as Forrest Gump (my #3 all time) I'm in for a treat... 8-)

Gump is a lot more entertaining, but then again Gravity is a lot more entertaining than 2001 and yet 2001 is by far a better film than Gravity. Only thing I would say about Gump and Interstellar is that Interstellar has emotional content that matches the best emotional stuff in Gump. They are very, very different movies outside of that.

For me, Interstellar is a tough film to grasp everything that's going on and that might actually give it a longer shelf life than many other contemporary films that are extremely easy to digest. Inception is like a walk in the park next to it. Interstellar is the most unique movie in Nolan's career and it's the only one I've seen that I could not even rate after a first viewing.

I feel sorry for critics who are forced by their job to rate movies after only one viewing. Some movies aren't meant for that and I believe this is one of those movies.
