Oh there is almost 100% certain he will make a James Bond movie in future. I hope he makes at least two projects before that happens (at it will). Nolan probably takes over the torch as soon as Daniel Craig puts his take on the British super agent to rest. Interstellar and maybe a Western in the meantime would be superb!

Yes I can't help but think he'd be the director to revitalise the franchise post Daniel Craig (as he has done with Supes and the Bat) I imagine his would be a heavy espionage thriller (something he hasn't really tackled) with hidden agendas and a complex plot. I'd be happy with him making a movie like that without it being a James Bond film. But Chris can do no wrong in my eyes and I can only dream of the globe-trotting, thought-provoking plot a Nolan Bond would offer.

I'm on the fense with a western. Westerns are generally known for a lack of substance. Chris is the king of subtext and plot. So I guess seeing what he'd do with this genre would be exiting. I still pray for Interstellar though. Nolan and a hard sci-fi?! He is arguable the smartest man directing films today with an amazing grasp of scope and scale (Inception) so imagine a story of his translated on a spacial/time-bending scale?? There's not enough Nolan's and Kubricks and (Ridley) Scott's in the world and their large-scale story-telling sentimentalities always thrive in one arena: sci-fi.

I'd just hope Wally would come back to dp.

I don't like Sci fi, but I'm kinda interested in this (Nolan's directing it, duh  )
Hope he would assemble all the cast of Inception :-D

I really doubt Nolan will ever do Bond, and I also really hope he doesn't.

We've already seen Nolan do the high-tech single handed villain thwarting world saver. He just put him in a Batman costume.

We've also already seen Bond done in the Nolan style, in Casino Royale and Skyfall, which both shamelessly imitated Nolan.

Bond is also just not a very interesting character. The last thing I want Nolan to do is jump on another formulaic mainstream franchise.

I thought it was confirmed when the news came out that Nolan is rewriting it.
