Very impressive how they pulled it off with Interstellar. Love that First Man got to improve with the tech:

Franklin:
The in-camera approach was taken to the next level on First Man which used a large high-res LED video wall. This gives a much brighter image that can properly light the set - the trade off is flexibility as you can't move the wall once it's built, you have to move the sets.
On First Man this was practical as the sets were small - 1960s space craft. Would be trickier with something as big as the Interstellar sets.
fingers crossed they use the same technique on Dune 8-)

I just saw the most offensive TV spot ad for Interstellar on FXX.

I happened to find it recorded and uploaded on YouTube with a potato.
