I actually think that the black and white footage is...
In the script it says on the ice planet the team find old stock footage from planet earth on a video monitor. I think that is Mathew M.

The funniest thing I read online was a guy who speculated that most of the teaser is filmed footage but edited to make it look like stock footage

This guy was 1st assistant camera on Interstellar and he posted this little nugget of info on a forum:

"Actually, there are a couple of shots in the "stock footage" that we shot and vfx made to look archeival. I'm not telling which ones! ;)"

It's him. It's archival NASA footage, the teaser also includes Chuck Yeager jetting off in the Bell X-1 to break the sound barrier, Alan Shepard becoming the first American to fly in space on board his Mercury capsule, and Neil Armstrong, together with his Apollo 11 crewmates, preparing to board the Saturn V rocket that will launch them on the first moon landing mission.
