Hey guys,

Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the philosophy and the morality of Nolan's Batman (soon-to-be)trilogy? I recall a few harsh reviews from TDK that complained of Nolan's handling of Batman's morality. It was more or less a perpetuation of the debate over whether letting Ghul die on the train in BB.

So, without really taking a punch at TDKR, what do you guys think of the philosophy of Nolan's Batman? Is a comparison to Miller's liberty-minded Batman warrant any serious consideration?

Love the forum header, by the way.

I have put up the link for this academic essay The Dark Knight's War on Terrorism under the "online books and academic essays" thread, if you looked you would have found it.

Anyway it raises and discusses a lot of questions of morality in TDK.

I believe that "rising" will be a prominent theme.

Bytheway, just from what we know I think capitalism and revolution will also be included in TDKR.

Insanity was a strong theme in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I think it deserves to be as strong a theme in The Dark Knight Rises.
