You think we might get that this time around? Be kind of cool.

I'm not saying it’s not possible but I don't think it will fit realistically in to Nolan's universe. Batman won't need that to travel around in the city.

But Batman needs a way to go between his Mansion/Batcave, Gotham, and Wayne Enterprises without being seen by the public. A series of tunnels with secret entrances or something along those lines could work.

Probably the most out there vehicle in the Bat cave. Flying a fighter jet ain't so easy.

I don't see why he would need it.

If it's in the film, it could be something like a one manned ship that mainly is for allowing Batman to do covert insertions into seedy parts of Gotham. It flies out, Batman jumps and glides to his target while the Batwing rises high from view and circles around until Batman is ready to leave. Then it picks him up and he goes back to the cave.

Or it could simply be a remote drone like a specialised Predator drone.

Yeah, I think that could be the maximum amount of Batwing we could get in the nolanverse. Although how he'd arm it would be a mystery...
I mean obviously he wouldn't arm it with the general issue missile or minigun that comes with a drone.
(and he's already got the cellular SONAR thing for his recon.)

I could see the Batwing being useful at some point in the Christopher Nolan Batman universe but not in the early years, including this next film. But sometimes, you know, this "realistic" crap can suck my nuts...the Batwing is not THAT unrealistic. I could see him using it when the Joker and his minions are about to blow Gotham skyhigh and the whole city is this chaotic play ground and Batman just flies by with his satelite technology or whatever the fuck. It can work at some point. Maybe for a mature 47 year old Batman...with a good travel agent as well. ;)

I actually had a dream I saw the opening of RISES and Batman had a powered glider type thing. Needless to say -- it was ridiculous.
